Preparing and Tagging Your Merchandise
Item Entry and Tag Preparation Link
Clothes should be freshly laundered, pressed and neatly hung. All other items should be wiped clean.
1. Gather your items and arrange them in order by gender and size.
2. Login to the online tagging system using your seller number and password.
3. Click on the 'Work With My Consigned Items' link and begin entering your items. (See example below)
-
select a category and size
-
enter a complete description of the item and price
-
select if you want the item donated if it does not sell
-
select if the item will be discounted on the last day of our sale.

All items are to be priced in .50 cent increments with a minimum price of $1.00 per item. When sizing Maternity use S, M, L, XL. Children's clothes are to be sized with number sizes (ex: 12 Months, 2T, 5 etc).
Price your items to sell!!! Even the newest items should not be priced at more that 1/2 the original retail price. To determine an appropriate price, start at 1/2 price and work your way down according to age and wear. 1/3 of the retail price is normally a good target range. After determining a price, ask yourself, "Would I pay $__ for this?"
4. Print your tags. You can chose to print a few at a time or all of them at once. 6 tags will fit on one sheet of cardstock. You MUST use WHITE card stock for your tags. Card stock can be purchased at any office supply store or Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart etc.
5. Select one of the 'Print Tags' options from the online tagging system. Be sure to turn off any popup blocker you may have running. When you generate tags they pop up in a new window for easy printing. The quality of your tags directly effects your sales. If your printers toner/ink is running out, get a new cartridge. If the scanner can not read your tags, we must key in your item and price which slows down the checkout process for everyone. No one wants to stand in a check out line because the tags will not scan into the computers. Tags MUST be printed in black ink.
If you change ANY item information (price, donation, 1/2 price option etc.) AFTER printing a tag, or between seasons, a NEW tag must be printed. Do not line through a consignor number, an item number, or price!!! The scanner does not read pen & ink changes.

How to Attach Tags-Clothing
All clothing must be on hangers with the hanger facing to the left as illustrated.
SAFETY PIN the tag to the top right hand corner of the garment when looking at the front. NO STRAIGHT PINS or little gold pins. (see diagram below)
Children's sizing codes are: 0-3m, 3-6m, 6m, 9m, 12m, 18m, 24m, 2T, 3T, 4T,5, 6, 6x through junior sizes.
S, M, L, XL are only acceptable for MATERNITY clothing.
Two piece outfits sell best so match up single items if possible. Use only one hanger for two piece outfits. Hang the shirt first, then pin the pants, skirt or shorts to the back of the shirt at the shoulder seams with TWO safety pins. Do NOT pin second pieces inside of the shirt or jacket, they cannot be seen easily.
Remember the minimum price is $1.00 so by grouping lower ticket items together, you will find it easier to reach the minimum price or higher.
To reduce check in time, have your items sorted by size and gender (rubber band or twist tie sizes together) prior to drop-off.
Below are some examples of accepted hangers.
*You may use any wire or plastic hanger, childrens hangers are preferred but not required.

How To Attach Tags (Non-Hanging Items)
All tags must be taped to the outside of the bag.
Use packing tape on all items except books and videos. DO NOT use scotch tape, masking tape, double sided tape, or blue painters tape. Make sure that the tag is securely attached to the item. We had many tags drop off during the last sale so items could not be sold.
Do not tape over the bar code.
One piece of tape across the top of the tag is all that is needed. Do not go "Crazy" with the tape. Don't roll the tape and stick it to the back of your tag.
Toys - toys should include all parts. Any tiny, loose pieces can be packaged in a ziplock bag. Attach the bag to the main item with packing tape. Do not bring items with missing parts. If a toy requires batteries to operate, they must be included for acceptance.
Books and Videos - please do not use packing tape on books and videos, since it usually tears the covers. Instead use small pieces of masking tape and be careful not to cover the bar code. Make sure that videos work, and secure tag with two pieces of masking tape. If packaging multiples together, write all the titles on the tag and secure it to the outside of the bag.
Shoes - must be tied together in pairs by the shoelaces or through the eyes of the shoes. Tie sandles together with a ribbon. Pin the tag to the shoelaces or the ribbon. DO NOT BOX or BAG shoes. Shoes and Laces must be in EXCELLENT condition
Loose Articles - bibs, bottles, bows, sippy cups, smaller toys, etc. must be in a clear ziplock bag with tag taped to the outside of the bag.
