Are children allowed at the public sale? Children are allowed at the public sale Friday and Saturday but not at the Thursday night Pre-Sale. Please keep the following in mind: It will be VERY crowded and aisles will be narrow making it hard to maneuver strollers. Parents are asked to keep their children close. Please do not allow them to play with the toys. If your child breaks an item we will ask you to buy it (it wouldn't be fair to our seller otherwise).
What methods of payment will you accept? We will accept cash, checks, debit cards and Visa/Mastercard at this sale. A valid drivers license will be required for all checks. The check writer's name and address must be pre-printed on the check. A $35 fee will be accessed for all returned checks or cancelled checks.
Who is eligible to shop the preview Sale? Volunteers who work during the Pre-Sale Thursday evening (6:30-10:30 PM Thursday) may shop Thursday between 4:30- 6:25 based on the job they are working at. Volunteers who work at least 5 four hour shifts may shop Thursday between 5:00-9:00; volunteers working one 4-hour shift but NOT actually working during the Pre-Sale may shop Thursday followed by consignors at 6:30 pm - 9:00pm and Registered New Moms/Grandmas at .
Am I permitted to bring a basket, bag or something else to fill while I shop? You are welcome to bring a basket (laundry or other), box/bin or any bag that looks like a shopping bag. Pa Kids Market also offers jumbo sized reusable bags at a nominal fee.
Are strollers permitted? Strollers and wagons are permitted. Please remember that our aisles will be narrow and packed with great children's items.
What is a children's consignment sale? A children's consignment sale is a GREAT way for you to rid your home of the things your children have outgrown and earn some money. We are not a garage sale and you do not have to be present during the sale to sell your items. You are consigning with us for two days (versus a season in a traditional store). We sell items on your behalf and handle everything from the venue & advertising to merchandising and shopper payments.

How much will I earn on my items? You will earn 70 % on all of your sold items (less a $12.00 registration fee deducted from your check). You can earn up to 80% by participating in the referral incentives and/or volunteering to work during the sale week. Why should I consign rather than sell at a garage sale?
Pa Kids Markethas many advantages over garage sales. First, we offer many children's items in all different categories under one roof. A person would have to shop garage sales all year to find what they will find at just one of our events. Another advantage is quality. We inspect all items prior to putting them on the sales floor. People know they will find quality, name-brand items at our sale. People are willing to pay a little more for quality name-brand items when they know they are in excellent condition.
What can I consign? You may sell just about anything baby or child related. Items include, but are not limited to, clothing, shoes, outerwear, bathing suits, dress-up costumes, toys, uniforms, books, videos/DVDs, infant gear, outdoor play, bikes, infant furniture, and more. May I consign maternity clothing? No. As of the 2016 sales, we no longer accept maternity clothing
Is there a minimum limit of items I may consign? Yes. There is a minimum of 15 items you must consign. We reserve the right to limit the number of identical items if space becomes limited. We accept items on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is a 350 item maximum limit. There is a limit of 20 pairs shoes/boots per consignor.
Are there items that you will NOT accept from consignors? Yes. We will not accept items that we deem are not in very good to excellent condition. Clothing must be free from stains, tears, pulls, fading, smoke/pet odor, and excessive wear. We will not accept undergarments, breast pumps, or stuffed animals. No fast food toys. Items that may be on recall lists from the manufacturers. It is the consignors responsibility to review published recalls prior to the sale. No car seats older than 5 years from the manufacture date . If the manufacturor's date tag has been removed we will not accept the car seat. No cribs with sides that go down unless they have the conversion kit included. Any item that does not meet our strict criteria will be returned to you at check-in. There are donation boxes/bags available at check-in if you do not want to take items home and want to donate them to a local charity. Outdated car seats may not be donated. How do I know what to price my items? You must price each item for at least $1 and prices must increase in 50 cent increments. We offer you some pricing suggestions on the website but as a general rule, you should price things 1/4 - 1/3 their original retail price. Popular or name brand items can be priced higher. You are the best judge, price an item for no more than you would be willing to pay it. First time consignors are known for pricing their items higher so when pricing your items ask yourself "What is more important? Getting a higher price or selling the item?" If you want the item gone price it accordingly.
Where can I find children's hangers? You will need child size hangers which can be found at most local children's clothing stores including the Dollar Store and WalMart. Some stores like the Disney store and Target will give children's hangers away to you if they are asked. We take clothing off of the hangers if we are not busy. Volunteer workers that work on Saturday afternoon during the tear-down get to take the collected hangers for the next sale so work Saturday afternoon and get hangers for free.
How can I earn the highest commission -80%? Consignors earn a minimum of 70%. You will earn 75% when you volunteer to work three 4-hour shifts. What is my consignor- Seller ID- number? When you register the first time as a consignor you will be assigned a consignor number. The consignor number you are assigned will remain your consignor number for all future sales. Your consignor number enables Pa Kids Market to credit the sale of your consigned item to you. When and where should I drop off my items before the sale? Items must be dropped off at Church Without Walls, 104 Roberts Valley Rd. Harrisburg PA 17110 on the Wednesday evening or Thursday morning prior to the sale. Please click below for important information regarding drop off.
Will I need an appointment to drop off things? Yes. You must sign up for a drop off time and arrive at the beginning of your time slot. Please allow at least 30 minutes.
Do I have to pick up my items after the sale? No. You can choose to donate all or some of your items. However, We CANNOT store your items after the sale. If you would like your unsold items returned, you MUST pick them up between 4:00 - 4:45 PM on Saturday, the designated pick up time. Any items that have not been picked up after the designated times become the property of PaKids Marketand will be donated to a charity of our choice. Sorry, there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this as we must be out of the facility and cannot store your items.
By what time on Saturday do items have to be picked up? Consignors must pick up any items they want back on the Saturday of the sale between 4:00 PM - 4:45PM. Doors will close at 4:45PM--- Sorry, No Exceptions!Any items left after 4:45PM on Saturday become the property of Pa Kids Market and will be donated to a charity of our choice on Saturday. We will NOT be calling to remind you to pick up your items. It is your responsibility to be there BEFORE 4:45 PM. We must be out of the facility at 5:00 PM.
Will PaKids Marketprovide a tax receipt of items I donated? No, the system can only report items you designated as donate yes if they were not sold. If you either didn't bring an item to drop off or if we couldn't accept an item during check in it would still show up on your donation list even though it wasn't there to be donated. Therefore, we do not provide donation reports.
When will I receive payment for my sold items? Checks will be mailed within 10 days of the close of the sale to the address in the My Sale Manager computer system as of the date the sale inventory entry closing. All consignors need to update personal information in the system on a regular basis. Please note a check not cashed within 30 days of issue will be cancelled and funds will revert back to Pa Kids Market.
Can I get my tags back? No. Pa Kids Market does not keep the tags from the items sold at the sale.
Will you provide me with a list of items that sold? Within 7 days after the sale, you will be able to go online to the consignor log-in page and view your sellers report.
What if I find that an item is missing? We do our best to keep tabs on every item that comes through our doors. However, we cannot be held responsible for items lost before, during or after the sale. The best defense against theft and loss is volunteers. The more help we have on the floor, the less opportunity for theft.
Do I have to volunteer in order to consign? No. You will still earn your consignor sale percentages and pre-sale privileges.
What will I receive in exchange for volunteering my time? Volunteers who work 4-hour shift/shifts will earn the opportunity to shop early, and consignors can have their consignor fee waived and earn up to 80% of their consignments. Click below to learn more about Volunteering.
May I bring my children with me during my shift? No. It will be too difficult for you to work and watch the little ones at the same time. Plus, it is too hard to keep the little ones away from all of the wonderful toys.
Do I have to be a consignor in order to volunteer? No. You do not have to be a consignor to volunteer at the sale. We welcome the help and will reward you with early Pre-Sale shopping, good food and a Pa Kids Market t-shirt to wear while you work.
What if I need to change my shift? You are allowed to change or cancel your shift up to 5 days before the sale begins. The sale begins on the first day that items are dropped off (Wednesday). You must contact PaKids Marketvia email or phone.
What will happen if I do not complete my scheduled shift OR cancel my shift 5 days or less before the sale begins? If you volunteer, we are counting on you to follow through.In the event a volunteer does not fulfill their obligation, or find a comparable replacement, the volunteer will not be allowed to participate as a volunteer again, participate in any future pre- sale, and if you are a consignor you will lose an additional 25% of your earnings. Please understand that these guidelines have been put in to place to maintain a high quality sale.
